MrKB and I got the tree set up and the branches all straightened out....put the garland on, then I proceeded to put hangers on the ornaments. 5yr old and 2yr old were so cute, running back and forth to me to get more ornaments to hang on the tree. They did a wonderful job, and the tree looks beautiful! Sorry the pic is a little blurry...If you look close, you can see some of my Christmas Teeny Beanie bears hung on the tree. One year, we did our tree almost entirely decorated with my beanie babies...I have a pic of that somewhere, so maybe I'll post it another day.
Also got out some of my other holiday beanies and put them around the living room. My computer is now all decked out for Christmas! :)
Today 5yr old and I went to see the Train Show at the fairgrounds. My Daddy is a member of a model train club (HO scale) and they have a big display at the show every year. It was just him and me...kind of a "bonding" thing for us. He seemed to enjoy looking at all the cool set-ups, and they even had a kids' hands-on area set up with train tracks and trains they could play with. He LOVED that!
All in all, it was a pretty good weekend....Oh yeah, the bday party at MickeyD's went good. Chaotic, as you can imagine, with about a dozen kids all hyped up on excitement and cake. My niece is quite the diva, actually, and was a bit of a brat. Too much excitement in one day for her, I guess. No major meltdowns, but lots of whining. Oh well.
Hope y'all had a lovely weekend, and remember, TOMORROW is my birthday, so send pressies!! LOL Cash will do in a pinch. ;)

Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday to you!! Thanks for stopping by today. What are your plans for the big day? Hope you and Mr.KB are doing something fun!!!
Ya'll's tree looks soooo cute:) I'm missing so bad not having one this year *sigh*.
I like the way you decorated your computer. My computer at work is decorated year around. I've probably got at least a dozen figurines, beanies, and other stuffed animals that live there.
I just love ya'll's tree. To cute how ya'll decorated it :) Beanie babies are too cute. I'm thinkin about selling mine though.
Monica: Thanks! :)
Rant: Thanks g/f! :)
Kali: This is our first tree in about 4 years. The last 3 Christmases we were on the truck...well we had a tree, but it was only about 6 inches tall! Before you sell your beanies, let me know what ones you have...you might be able to help me replace some that were damaged in storage at my FIL's.
MCB: Thanks hun! I usually have it decorated with different beanies for all the holidays, but right now the majority of mine are packed away since there's nowhere to put them.
Hey let me ask you this, are you planning to decorate your roof too? in this cold weather?
I mean .. women always ask men to go and decorate or light the roof for the kids .. no matter how cold it is .. hey as long as the kids are happy right? and then to add fuel to fire, we have to take them off too :(
nobody cares about men :( poor us
what's your say?
LOL...Well, Nabeel, since I live in an apartment, I'd say that's highly unlikely.
But, for argument's sake...if I did live in a house, I probably would have hubby put the lights on the roof, but I'd have him do it before it got freezing cold! I'd do it myself, but I'm afraid of heights...besides, if I started to, he'd come out and say "What are you doing?!? That's a man's job!" LOL
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you'll come again. :)
