My Poor Baby Girl!

Today wasn't a very pleasant day...baby girl had to have her 6 month shots. She ended up getting 5 shots all together...4 regular shots and a flu shot. She was definitely NOT happy! Breaks my heart every time it's shot time. Babies are so clueless...just laying there minding their own business, then all of a sudden they're hurting and don't know why. My Mom stayed out in the waiting room w/ my 2 yr old, and she said they could hear baby girl crying all the way out there. 2 yr old was so concerned with that, she went all the way around the reception desk, down the hall and stood in front of the door to the room we were in. Awwwww.

Had 5 yr old with us all weekend. The visit went well...he spent all day Saturday playing outside w/ his cousin and neighborhood kids, so he liked that. Sunday the temperature outside had dropped quite a bit and he wasn't too happy that he couldn't go out to play. He wasn't the only one, though...there were NO kids outside playing since it was so freakin' cold. I'll be glad when we finally get him in our home for good. It's getting tiring having to go back and forth every weekend just to see him for a short time.

I need to get my house cleaned back up. Looks like a hurricane passed through here after having two boys here all weekend. (my nephew stayed over too)....but I just don't feel like it right now, I am tired!

That's all I really have for today. Maybe I'll have more to talk about tomorrow, I dunno....

I cried when my first son got his shots at 6 months. He was lying there smiling at all the attention, then a nurse grabbed each leg, I grabbed his arms, and they jabbed him with 4 shots in the tops of his thighs. That look on his face made me cry. He went from smiling to that "How could you hurt me?" look. It was SOOOOOO sad. I'm almost crying now.

Hiya Hillbilly Mom :) Glad you stopped by!

Baby Girl didn't cry right at first when she got the first shot...delayed reaction. Probably shocked! But boy did she scream after that.

So far tonight she's doin' okay..took a nice long nap after we got home and now she's just scootin' around the living room babbling away. (not crawling yet, but she scoots)

Shot day sucks.

Kady needs her flu shot this week and I am SO not looking forward to it!! Not only because she cries and it's not just cry because of the sting, but cry because she's nearly 4 and she is more verbal than most 14 year olds so she can actually sit down with me and explain the reasons she is unhappy with me over the whole shot experience and chide me for participating in it to begin with. Plus, this is the craziest week of my life in quite awhile and I don't want her to feel all flu-ey. But they say to get them before October's over. *sigh*

Hey Diva, good to see ya g/f :)

Next month I have to take both the girls in for shots..baby girl has to have a second dose of the flu shot, and 2 yr old is due for HepA booster and she's getting a flu shot also. Oh what fun...Oh yeah, they recommend MrKB and I get flu shots too 'cuz of the lil one. Greeaaat.

I hate baby shots!! They just don't understand what's going on. The good is, they quickly forget.

Whats worse is 4 year old shots. They know its coming and will do everything in their power to get away from it!!

I asked my friend to take Nati to her first set of shots, this friend was getting married and wanted a baby so I thought I'd send her to do this. Her fiance went with her. When they got back he told her they were never ever having children. They now have 1 and are adopting another one. Natalie was older than most kids at her 1st set due to some set backs we had.

Tammy...I am sooo not looking forward to 4 yr old shots! Gonna have to go thru it twice in the next few years. bleh.

MrsCoach...that was a dirty trick! lol...but at least you didn't have to be there! Glad they still decided to have kids. The good things outweigh the bad in the end, don't they?
