The Redbud Tree

...is a sure sign of Spring in Oklahoma! Yay!

I took this out behind our apartments...there is a little creek that runs behind it. Lots of trees and when I walked back there just awhile ago I saw the Redbuds are in bloom! :) They are also the Oklahoma state tree. Just a random bit of info...btw, this is not the prettiest example of this type of tree, but I was excited to see it anyway!

I always wondered what those were called. We went south last spring and saw them everywhere. They are gorgeous!

It was 70 degrees here yesterday and today it was only in the 30's with windchills in the low 20's. Blech!

Yep! Here at the office park, the trees and flowers are all looking so pretty. Hope we don't get a freeze that kills them all.

I love redbud as well, but my favorite is the pink dogwood. so springy...

WOO-HOO! Spring is on the way. I planted a bulb of Garlis and it is growing like wildfire. Get the bathin suits out Mildred, it's almost time to hit the lake! YAY! Have a great day MamaK

March 20th will be officially the first day of spring :-). Ready for some fun sunshine days ahead. Wait spring showers bring May flowers. Anyhoo purty trees. :-)
